A 16-year-old Venezuelan teenager was rescued from a network of sexual exploitation that operated in Peru and Ecuador.
The Venezuelan was released along with 48 other women of Ecuadorian, Peruvian and Colombian nationality, who were also in captivity, details a report from the newspaper The universe from Ecuador.
“Simultaneously, the search of 9 properties was carried out, achieving the arrest of 14 people who are under investigation for the alleged commission of the crime of Promotion and Favoring of the Sexual Exploitation of Boys, Girls and Adolescents, as well as the crime of Pimping in the modality of Favoring Prostitution”, said the Public Ministry of Peru, in a Press release.
The Public Ministry of Ecuador confirmed the information through its Twitter account @MinInteriorEc in which it published: “The coordinated work between @PoliciaEcuador and @PoliciaPeru allowed the arrest of 13 people, allegedly linked to the crime of #Trafficking. As a result, 48 women were rescued from captivity for sexual purposes in #Peru.”
Similarly, the Police of Peru and the National Police of Ecuador posted on their Twitter accounts @PoliciaPeru and @PoliciaEcuador, respectively, videos about the operation in the local “El Siete”, located on the Piura-Sullana highway, kilometer 7, in the Veintiséis de Octubre district, on the afternoon of Friday, July 22.
Captured through social networks
The victims would have been captured through the social network Facebook, through deception, from the provinces of Guayas, Los Ríos and El Oro, as well as from other countries: Venezuela, Colombia Y Peru.
The police authorities indicate that they were aware of the complaint filed in Ecuador by an Ecuadorian minor, who declared that she had been captured in her country to be sexually exploited in the Peruvian brothel.
Thanks to this complaint, police personnel carried out video surveillance for months in the aforementioned premises in order to identify cases of sexual exploitation of minors.
The detainees
The Peruvian authorities indicated that those involved in this alleged human trafficking network are of Ecuadorian, Venezuelan and Peruvian nationality.
In the operation, the following were arrested: Javier Alejandro Torres Falla, alias “Mono”, José Luis Villegas Yarleque “Duvai”, Jorge Luis Mejía Calle “Loco”, José Carlos Isaías Del Aguila Mayorga “Cacheton”, Yohan José Castillo Marrero ” Cojo”, Enderver Wladimir Domador Valera (a) «Black”, José Félix Medina Ochoa (a) «Chamo”, Miguel Arturo Silva Gallo «Javicho», Jorge Armando Acosta Purizaca «Chorri», Bryan Eloy Chuez Cevallos « Titi”, Geovanny Daniel Contreras Cobeñas “Gordo” and Henry Timoteo Mondragón “Tato”.
After the intervention, security measures were arranged in favor of the rescued victim with the support of personnel from the District Assistance Unit for Victims and Witnesses (Udavyt) of Peru, indicated the press release from the Peruvian Prosecutor’s Office.
