They rescue a Chilean student kidnapped in Bolivia: he was returned to his family

The Bolivian police rescued the Chilean student living in that country who was kidnapped in Cochabamba. The Minister of Government of Bolivia, Carlos del Castilloconfirmed this Sunday the information through social networks, noting that the young man did not show signs of violence.

“We inform the Bolivian people of the recovery of the Chilean citizen, Fernando Enrique Salazar (20-year-old student), who was kidnapped on November 14 in Cochabamba, in the Cala Cala area,” Del Castillo said on his Twitter account.

“After hard work of investigation and follow-up in coordination with the victim’s relatives, the subject was found at 8:45 p.m. yesterday in the vicinity of the old Oruro terminal, with no signs of violence, where he was returned to his family,” he added.

The student, who is studying Medicine in Cochabamba, had last been seen getting into a van in the highland sector of Caracal, the slogan Bio Bio Radio.

Salazar’s mother -who began to receive extortion from the criminals- reported the kidnapping to the Investigative Police (PDI) on Tuesday. By order of the Prosecutor’s Office, the Criminal Investigation Brigade (Bicrim) coordinated with Interpol.
