The deputy of the Front of All for Tucumán Carlos Cisneros requested this Tuesday the exclusion of former governor María Eugenia Vidal from the Chamber of Deputies for “moral incapacity” for his responsibility in the so-called court table Buenos Aires
Cisneros, also a leader of the union La Bancaria, maintained that this group “suffered from Vidal’s management in permanent meetings with who was his Minister of Labor (Marcelo) Villegas and, for that reason, it touches us very closely because, in addition, the meeting was held in the Provincial Bank.
In this way, the legislator made reference to the meeting held in June 2017 at the Bapro headquarters in Buenos Aires, in which, in addition to Villegas other members of the then Buenos Aires Cabinet, along with intelligence agents and businessmen, where the formation of a judicial table to act against the unions was analyzed.
Through the project, Cisneros asked “andexclude from its bosom the national deputy María Eugenia Vidal for moral inability and indignityin accordance with the provisions of article 66 of the National Constitution”.
“This issue cannot be disregarded because he is the one who appoints the Bank’s board. There has to be an answer to this,” Cisneros asserted, explaining the reasons for the presentation of the project that is supported by other union legislators from the FdT.
In statements to Télam, Cisneros said that in the framework of the investigation carried out around that meeting, “the blame was placed on a ceremonial employee who only handed over the room and has nothing to do with the AFI, it is a colleague who is having a hard time”.
“The national deputy María Eugenia Vidal promoted, during her administration in the Government of the Province of Buenos Aires, a political and judicial persecution against union leadersas evidenced by evidence that recently gained publicity and notoriety,” the legislator asserted.
According to the foundations of the bill, “the conduct to which we refer is contrary to the rule of law and the most minimal standards of democratic and republican government, it violates human rights, and constitutes acts of unprecedented institutional gravity.”
Finally, Cisneros considered that “these are facts that can be classified as causes of “moral inability” and “indignity”, since their commission is incompatible with the function of representing the people of the Nation.”
