The Directorate of Migrations refers to the Ministry of the Interior the responsibility of acting on reports of the irregular entry of 20 Brazilian computer scientists, brought by the wife of Efraín Alegre. For its part, the state portfolio does the same, but in the opposite direction.
Federico González, Minister of the Interior, explained that, cAccording to a complaint received last night, Migrations was consulted about the alleged irregular entry of 20 Brazilians.
In this regard, the answer was that six Brazilians arrived in our country and settled in the housing complex of the Lambaré Cooperative. Three of them arrived in March and have already left, but another three came in April and are still there.
Subsequently, another complaint was received, in which they warned of the arrival of two other Brazilians illegally.
“By virtue of thatMigrations can carry out this inspection, what these people committed is an administrative offense and if it is verified, they must pay a fine, it is basically what the law establishes ”González commented in an interview with Radio Uno.

He added that, “if there is a complaint, Migration has the authority, they are the ones who have to carry it out,” said González.
He also recalled that, due to a law enacted in 2022, the Directorate General of Migrations became the National Directorate of Migrations, and ceased to depend on the Ministry of the Interior.
For her part, the Director of Migrations, Ángeles Arriola, responded that “for the moment”, nothing is known about it, and that the consultation should be transferred to the Ministry of the Interior.
Personnel from the company that manages the housing complex of the Lambaré Cooperative pointed to Mirian Irún de Alegre, wife of the liberal candidate for the National Agreement, Efraín Alegre, as aor manager of the stay of about 20 Brazilians, computer experts of whom Migration has no records.
