Feminists and women’s rights defenders from Las Venancias, through social networks, urged support to find the whereabouts of Juana Everlinda Chávez, 12 years old, originally from San Bartolo, Quilalí, Nueva Segovia, who disappeared since last December 17. October.
Relatives of the minor, according to local media, indicated that Juana Everlinda “left the house early” last Thursday and “did not return.” After she was missing for a day, they decided to start the search and report the case.

Mayra Casco Salgado, mother of the minor, expressed her concern. He explained that they have searched for the minor without success and urged help to find her.

Minors vulnerable to human trafficking
The defenders of Las Venancias highlighted that girls and adolescents are more vulnerable to being “victims of deception or false promises, whether from lovers or human trafficking recruiters.”
