A prisoner identified as Jesús Manuel Martínez (36) died this Thursday morning at the Luis Razetti hospital, located in Barcelona (Anzoátegui).
Friends of Martínez reported the incident through messages posted on social networks. The man was arrested on July 29 in Aragua de Barcelona (Anzoátegui), where he had participated as a polling witness during the presidential elections, according to reports.
From that town he was taken to a police checkpoint located in Lechería (Anzoátegui) and from there he was later admitted to the Razetti hospital because he suffered from type II diabetes.
