At least 29 people were affected in a new case of alleged poisoning that was recorded this Monday in the state of Barinas.
According to preliminary information, the incident occurred at the José Ramón Andrade Méndez National High School, located in Chuponal, Pedraza municipality.
The victims of the event, including students and staff of the institution, were taken to the Francisco Lazo Martí hospital with symptoms such as: headache, nausea, fainting, respiratory difficulty, among others.
The mayor of the jurisdiction, Jessica Lalama, through a statement reported that the situation on campus was controlled by the authorities.
«The Bolivarian Government informs the community that the situation at the José Ramón Andrade Méndez National High School is under absolute control. (…) we have deployed all state institutions to address this situation.”
