Four subjects were killed during a confrontation that occurred in the Covetra sector, Morón, Carabobo, according to police sources.
Among those killed is Darwin José Zabala Ollarve, alias el Rayao, head of the criminal organization. Two other fallen are known by the nicknames Ñoño and Pupi.
These subjects were investigated for the murder of General (GNB) Sergio Negrín and Sergeant Deivis Eduardo Suárez, an incident that occurred on the Cimarrón Andresote highway on October 13, 2020.
Officials of the Bolivarian National Police, assigned to the Division against Organized Crime, had spent days monitoring the criminal organization headed by Rayao until last Friday they were confronted on the Covetra hill (Morón), where they have their main base of operations.
After the armed confrontation, the agents seized a Japanese-made 7.62 caliber rifle, two pistols (9 mm and 3.80 mm), a 38 revolver, an M-26 fragmentary grenade and a magazine for 5.56 mm cartridges belonging to the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).
The Public Ministry was notified of the procedure.
