624 continuous hours of intense work were what was needed to extract the last body of the miner trapped in the 4 Esquinas mine, located in the Caratal sector, in the municipality of El Callao, on October 13.

Relatives of the victim, identified as Fadiangel Trejo (26), waited 26 days outside the cylinders or mining shafts, raising their prayers to heaven to be able to recover the body of the young man, who was part of the 13 trapped miners.

Trejo was located 35 meters deep and, like his younger brother, Fadiannel Herrera, they were surprised in one of the wells with the overflowing of one of the streams that, due to the intense rains, caused water to fall and subsequent collapse of the well where he was located.

Nilibeth Camacho, mother of Fadiangel Trejo, reported on the extraction of her son’s body and that it was carried out in the afternoon of last Sunday by a group of artisanal miners and Minerven Emergency Control officials.

With the recovery of Trejo’s body, the search maneuvers for the 13 fatalities, trapped in a mining cylinder since last October 13, come to an end.
