The garment maker Isidora Chihuán Otivo, stated that now the population is looking for sweaters, vests, skirts, gloves, stockings and booties made of sheep’s wool, since it provides warmth without generating sweat like fleece, which is a transformed plastic.

For her part, the Tarma garment maker, Norma Pucuhuayla Mejía, said that sheep’s wool is a natural wool, used by the ancestors. Artisans wash the sheep’s wool, spin it, and then weave it into its natural colors.
