The Ministry of Health recalled the recommendations for the rational use of the mask in health services, with the aim of protecting the health of patients, visitors and workers of health establishments.
The health portfolio indicated that health personnel, whether they are doctors, nurses, technicians, assistants, biochemists or any other person who is in direct contact with patients or biological samples, must wear a mask.
This also applies to patients who go to outpatient or emergency consultations, for scheduled and emergency hospitalization, to carry out studies, draw blood or deliver samples and physiotherapy sessions.
Likewise, the use of a mask is indicated for those who come to the health service to accompany or visit the patient, and any person who enters the health establishment.
