They receive more than 7,400 balboas in redeemable vouchers when they turn in their weapons and ammunition

A total of B/. 7,405.40 in vouchers redeemable in shops, supermarkets and pharmacies, were delivered through the Pacifying My Neighborhood Program to people who voluntarily delivered 11 firearms, 837 ammunition, 34 explosives, 13 suppliers and 14 accessories. This is at the Los Andes Sports Complex #2, in the township Omar Torrijos Herrera.

During four days in the district of San Miguelito, a total of B/. 19,995.35 to people who delivered 37 firearms, 2,578 ammunition, 88 explosives, 28 suppliers and 33 accessories.

The Pacifying My Neighborhood Program will continue tomorrow at Los Andes #2, from 9:00 in the morning to 3:00 in the afternoon; on Thursday June 15 at the Gelabert Municipal Gymnasium, and on Friday June 16 at the 500 soccer field, both in the township of Victoriano Lorenzo.

On Monday, June 19, the program will move to the Pan de Azúcar soccer field in the township of Amelia Denis de Icaza; on Wednesday, June 21 and Thursday, June 22, at the Puente Rojo soccer field on Calle M, in the town of Belisario Porras; where on June 26 it will also take place, on the Don Bosco soccer field.

Finally, on Wednesday, June 28 and Thursday, June 29, Pacifying My Neighborhood will take place on the synthetic pitch on Calle H y J, in the township of Mateo Iturralde.

The Pacifying My Neighborhood Program has the collaboration of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Government, the National Police, the Government of the Province of Panama, mayors’ offices, community boards and local organizations.
