With white flags hanging on the lamp posts of El Prado, the mayor of La Paz, Iván Arias, asked the marchers related to the Movement Towards Socialism (MAS) who arrive in the city not to destroy the public decoration of the seat of government.
“La Paz dawns in peace. Our city is the center of the marches and welcomes the marchers in peace. Do not destroy the public decoration. Let us take care of the common good. As La Paz, we do not lend ourselves to provocation, ”the mayor tweeted.
The municipal authority of La Paz recalled that La Paz is the “center of the marches” and that it “receives in peace” the marchers, which is why it also recommended that citizens “not lend themselves to confrontation during the MAS march.
The mayor showed on Twitter the flags raised in El Prado, as a symbol of peace.

The so-called “march for the homeland” will arrive at Plaza San Francisco this Monday, after a seven-day walk from the town of Caracollo, Oruro.
The demonstration was called by the Central Obrera Boliviana (COB), the Pact of Unity and other social organizations related to the MAS, in support of the management of Luis Arce, the economic reactivation, and the request for justice, among other demands.
The mobilization is led by former President Evo Morales and other state authorities and diplomats.
