They publish some names of those released from prison on January 1

This Thursday the first of January It was confirmed that they were released 87 citizens who were detained in the context of the 2024 presidential elections. Committee for the Freedom of Political Prisoners (Clippve) announced the names of some of those released.

“According to their testimonies, around 4:00 a.m.. A Yutong bus, two Encavas and a van would have left the prison, transporting people deprived of liberty for political reasons. Some of the people released indicated that they would be at least 87 political prisoners from the 2024 post-election context. In addition, they would be people from the states: Barinas, Caracas, Bolívar, Miranda, Falcón, Zulia, Lara, Carabobo, Yaracuy, among others,” they stated.

They also recalled that despite these releases, it is estimated that there are still 89 political prisoners in this prison.
