The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted two people who are involved in serious aggression against animals in Ipiales, Nariño, and Bogotá.
In the department of Nariño, a prosecutor from the Special Group for the Fight against Animal Abuse (Gelma) presented before a guarantee control judge Juan Antonio Tapi, who would be responsible for abandoning two canines, called ‘Freckles’ and ‘Luna’, at his home.
According to the authorities, the events occurred in August 2020. At that time, the inhabitants alerted the Police and an inspection was carried out in the house, where there were two animals alone, one of them had had five puppies.

One of the newborn puppies died due to the conditions in which she was found. The Prosecutor’s Office charged Juan Antonio Tapia with the crime of animal abuse.
On the other hand, in a village in the town of Usme, in Bogotá, Henry Peñaloza would have caused the death of a dog, named ‘Akamaru’, on March 27, 2020.

According to research, apparently the man attacked the animal with rods because it passed near his farm and fought with other dogs. The aggressor was charged with the crime of animal abuse.
