The Special Commission for the Review of Electoral Laws advanced yesterday on some consensuses such as, for example, the holding of regional and municipal elections in July. This means the election of governors, mayors, legislative councils and municipal councils, explained a witness.
Regarding the election of the National Assembly, this would take place in the month of December, according to the consensus reached between the parties grouped in the Great Patriotic Pole and the opposition bloc.
Regarding the referendum approving the constitutional reform, it is also proposed to be held in December.
Last Tuesday, the Special Commission for the Review of Electoral Laws was reactivated with the participation of 37 of the 38 political organizations convened. The event was also attended by opposition governors Alberto Galíndez (Cojedes) and Sergio Garrido (Barinas), as well as envoys from the leaders of Zulia and Nueva Esparta, reported that day by the president of the National Assembly, deputy Jorge Rodríguez.
Rodríguez, who is also the coordinator of this dialogue table, explained that the Special Commission declared itself in permanent session and designated three working groups.
“There are factors interested in remaining blind, deaf, but not mute at all. Nosy people, those who get involved, who lie. I am sure that they will do everything possible to minimize this conversation, this meeting. I hope not,” commented Deputy Rodríguez upon leaving the meeting on Tuesday.
“I really hope the agencies reflect that 100 percent of the political spectrum of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is here. “Who is not there? The violent ones, those who want death, those who call for invasions, filling their mouths with foam of rage, those who join forces with drug traffickers and foreign murderers to promote and request invasion,” added Rodríguez, president of the special commission, who testified in the company of the other directors of that instance, deputies Luis Eduardo Martínez and Nicolás Ernesto Maduro Guerra.
