The drivers of the Bolt travel app organize a caravan in repudiation of the constant insecurity they face on a daily basis. In addition, as a preventive measure, they announced that they will no longer enter certain red zones in Asunción and Central cities.
Basilio Duartespokesperson for the sector, said in an interview with Universo / Nación Media radio that The platform drivers will carry out a caravan through the microcenter on Thursdaydemanding security, given the increase in assaults on workers of said group.
“There is a lot of insecurity, assaults every day, what is seen in the press is only 1% of what it is in reality. We have minimum three to four rounds a day. Only the most serious cases appear in the press,” said the interviewee.
He argued that in most cases, assaults are committed by thugs posing as alleged passengers. “For the passenger to enable an account as a user, the requirements are minimal. For Uber or MUV they ask you for photos and even link an account or a credit card, however in Bolt it is easier to create a fake profile, you don’t even have to put a real name, ”he said.
Therefore, according to Duarte, The drivers’ caravan will start at the Metropolitan Seminary, to go to Bolt’s office, where they will demand greater control and prevention measures, and then to the Command to deliver a work table request with the Police. “We ask for a direct line to them, other than 911,” she said.

In Ciudad del Este they implemented it and it worked there. Now we are going to do the same in all areas of the Asunción marshes, and in certain neighborhoods of Itá, Itauguá and Capiatá that are dangerous”, he narrowed.
On the other hand, he also announced that they are going to resort to the ANDE in view of the existence of very dark areas due to the lack of public lighting, since this is conducive to theft.
