A Ukrainian couple arrived at the international airport of Santa Cruz, Viru Viru, seeking refuge from the war that is going through her country, but was returned to Argentina earlier today.
The couple had been invited by Ludmila Kudenko, who has lived in Bolivia since 1976. The coach explained that the Ukrainian consuls in Brazil, Argentina and the honorary consul of Bolivia intervened, but it was not possible for the couple to enter Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
“Unfortunately we discovered that Bolivia declared itself neutral in the war conflict and unfortunately they could not enter Santa Cruz. With this situation, the Ukrainians who live in Bolivia learned that our families will not be able to come to this land when they are away from their homes. and they have become migrants in Europe looking for a place to live,” he said.
