Initially, the police authorities presume that the murder of the journalist Marlyn del Valle Goitia (29), was executed to commit a robbery, according to judicial sources.
Marlyn’s body was found last Tuesday inside her residence located in the Santa Inés sector, Maturín (Monagas).
Preliminary inspections show that there is money missing from Marlyn’s home. Until now, a friend of the social communicator was held by the Cicpc where she gave statements and was later released.
Marlyn’s relatives went to the Public Ministry (Maturín, Monagas) this Friday to demand justice. From there, María Roxana García, sister of the deceased, declared to the journalists present. She said that she had “captures of conversations” which can be used to clarify the homicide.
Marlyn’s corpse showed signs of having been strangled. The 25th Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry continues the investigations.
