Two lawyers belonging to the National Human Rights Coordinator (CNDDHH) announced this Saturday the filing of a habeas corpus lawsuit against the Minister of the Interior, Vicente Romero, and the General Commander of the Peruvian National Police, Raúl Alfaro Alvarado; this after warning of “arbitrariness and abuse of power” during the intrusion of the PNP into the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, where there were delegations of protesters from other regions of Peru and students from the institution.
The Seventh Constitutional Court of the Superior Court of Justice of Lima of the Judiciary received the lawsuit against Romero and Alfaro filed by Jennie Dador, Executive Secretary of the CNDDHH; and the lawyers Juan Carlos Ruiz and Stephanie Rodríguez.
