The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, He noted: “They gave me the first project of the old Caracas-La Guaira highway, which goes from Catia to Maiquetía. Here is the investment plan and its development of the communal corridor. We are going to produce food and tourism; it will be an exercise in direct democracy, something wonderful that I will be reviewing in detail to achieve its approval.”
Likewise, the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, highlighted that all government agencies are committed to the fulfillment of productive projects. “The preparation of the Comprehensive Development Plan for the Caracas-La Guaira Corridor included the verification of the Concrete Agenda for Territorial Action, where each Commune prioritized two structuring projects for each of the Seven Transformations of the Plan for the Homeland.”
This participatory process will guarantee that this proposal addresses the real needs of the communities and will allow a comprehensive transformation of the corridor. The applied methodology seeks to optimize resources and expand the social impact of public policies, by strengthening the economic sector through food production, tourism and culture. “Work, planning and popular participation become the keys to advancing the comprehensive transformation of the city and its communities,” highlighted Carmen Meléndez.
