On the afternoon of this Thursday, October 6, the National Police presented Wilmer Antonio González Méndez, who was wanted for the double murder that occurred on July 22, 2021, in Mulukukú, North Caribbean of the country. The suspect is accused by the Prosecutor’s Office of murdering Diagnnie Dayiris Boniche, 29, and her mother, Luz Maritza González, 53.
At a press conference, the chief of the Mining Triangle Police, Pedro Rodríguez Argüeta, explained that the alleged murderer, who managed to circumvent Nicaraguan justice for more than a year, was found hiding in the house of his brother-in-law, identified as Ernesto Carrasco. Chavarría, who was also arrested for keeping the double homicide suspect hidden.
“The criminal Wilmer Antonio González Méndez” was arrested “at 5:30 in the morning, in the rural area of the El Zopilote community, municipality of Rosita, Autonomous Region of the North Caribbean Coast, who was hiding in the house of his brother-in-law Ernesto Chavarría, 26 years old, who was arrested and will be placed at the order of the competent authorities, “explained the General Commissioner.

The suspect was last seen on July 22, 2021, in Siuna, when a taxi left him at the bus terminal in this town.
Wilmer González, 31, was accused by the Public Ministry of the crimes of aggravated murder, aggravated rape and illegal carrying of weapons. The autopsy performed on the young Diagnnie Boniche shows that she was raped and then murdered by González.
The crimes occurred at the San Jerónimo farm, which was owned by the victims, and where the alleged murderer worked as a foreman.
The Public Ministry offered 10 witnesses during the hearing, including family members and farm workers. The evidence was received by Judge Jazohara Zamora Rivera, of the Criminal District Court Specialized in Violence of Siuna.

Both women were killed in various ways; the youngest was beaten to death and found wrapped in a sheet inside the ranch house; her mother was found a few meters from the house and with several bullet wounds in her body.
The suspect in the double murder in Mulukukú is included in the list of the most wanted criminals by the International Police (Interpol). In addition, relatives and friends of the victims circulated the photo of González on social networks, for whom they offered the amount of 300 thousand córdobas to whoever gave notice of his whereabouts.
