This Friday, the parliamentarian of Avanza País, Diego Bazán, obtained the necessary signatures to formally present the motion of censure against the head of the Energy and Mines portfolio, Carlos Palacioswhich had been announced days ago.
In his social networks, the legislator showed a table in which it is recorded that some 35 legislators have joined his initiative, thus exceeding the minimum, 33.
“I have virtually presented a motion of censure against the Minister of Energy and Mines. I hope that the one who comes will not be as or more incompetent as the current one, because apparently the intention of this government is not to govern but to impoverish. I will fulfill my function of political control”it is read in their social networks.
In addition to this motion, signatures are being collected in Congress to dismiss the Minister of the Interior, Alfonso Chávarry, and a motion of censure has already been presented against Betssy Chávez, head of the Labor portfolio.
The arguments
Among the arguments that support the motion are the bad designations that Palacios would have made and that “These appointments are a sample of the terrible management of the Ministry of Energy and Mines, which prioritizes political affiliation or militancy over the professional qualities of the people who hold management positions in the aforementioned sector”.
“Since everything said above is sufficient to censure a Minister of State, it is necessary to add that it has recently transpired that the Minister of Energy and Mines is making constant efforts to unduly influence the management of Petroperú”adds the writing.
