The congressman of Peru Libre, Flavio Cruz, presented a motion for interpellation against the Minister of the Interior, Víctor Rojas, for the ‘March for Peace’, a demonstration called and openly promoted by the National Police of Peru, despite the fact that the Political Constitution prohibits active troops from participating in marches. According to the parliamentarian, the institution’s actions “are contrary to the legal system and do not have legitimacy.”
