They pose as Minsa officials to defraud in Chiriquí

Alert for merchants in the province of Chiriquí, as unknown persons or suspected scammers pose as officials of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) requesting that they be allowed to carry out an inspection on the premises and find anomalies to correct them or pay an alleged fine through online banking or through cash.

The Minsa indicated that none of the collaborators of the biosafety, occupational health or medical departments in particular are empowered to apply monetary sanctions that are paid on behalf of an individual.

The officials of the institution carry out their work duly identified with their card, in addition to their uniform or vest; however, in case of doubt about any procedure, please visit the Minsa facilities to be oriented.

The regional health headquarters through a statement urged those affected to use the devices or security cameras they have, in order to identify these individuals, and file their respective complaint, since the entity is responsibly providing all the necessary elements so that the competent authorities initiate an exhaustive investigation and justice reaches those involved in these criminal conducts.
