Three only fatalities of violence in Costa Rica

The victim’s body was found on Saturday, April 1, by the residents of the area, who, upon feeling a fetid odor, set out to find where it came from and upon reaching the spot, observed some feet. In addition, they alerted the National Police of the event.

On Thursday, March 30, the relatives of Tatiana Jirón had reported her as missing and it was not until days later that They found her murdered about 500 meters from the home of Harold Antonio Sánchez Morenowith whom the victim had an extramarital affair.

According to the Police, the subject arrived at Jirón’s home, located in the Valle Verde neighborhood, where they discussed. The suspect then “hit her and subsequently strangled her causing his death.”

National Police arrested Harold Sánchez, the main suspect in the femicide of Tatiana Jirón.

“Next, he introduced the victim’s body into a macen sack, transferring it on a CT 4988 license plate motorcycle to the place where it was found,” read a statement issued by the authorities.

In addition, “an inspection was carried out at the home” of the suspect “located in the Loma Linda neighborhood, finding 500 meters to the southwest in a vacant lot, the lifeless body of Tatania Ninoska Jirón Rodríguez,” they detailed.

At the home of Harold Sánchez, the authorities found the alleged instruments used to bury the victim and they proceeded to arrest the subject for the femicide to the detriment of Tatania Jirón.

It was known that the victim leaves two children in the orphanageone of two and another of five years, those who point out procreated with the suspect in his murder.

The organization Católicas por el Derecho a Decidir recorded that in the first three months of 2023 at least 16 Nicaraguan women have been murdered inside and outside the country. This situation has left more than 15 minors orphans.
