They plant more than 32 thousand trees throughout the Venezuelan territory

A total of 32,566 trees were planted in 123 hectares of the entire Venezuelan territory, during the national reforestation day promoted by the Great Mission Mother Earth Venezuela. The day included prioritized forest and fruit species, in strategic geographic areas, including apamates, samanes, mouse bush, araguaneyes, mahogany and carocaros.

Also, mamón trees, bucares, mijao specimens were added, as well as teaks, cedars, mereyes, ceibas and coffee plants, among other varieties, intended to strengthen the vegetation cover and vulnerable areas.

In this way, the 24 regions of the country contributed to the day with native species, among which stand out: Aragua, with four thousand in 10 hectares; Portuguese, four thousand in 10 hectares; Yaracuy, three thousand 124 in 14 hectares; Barinas, three thousand 25 in 3.9 hectares; Carabobo, 2,500 in 6 hectares, among others.

Ecosocialist councils, organized Popular Power, environmentalists, ecologists and volunteers participated in the event. This is a national effort to restore degraded ecosystems, as well as protect river headwaters, strengthen water security and biodiversity, in line with global commitments to mitigate the effects of climate change.

Thus, together with the Tree Mission, the National Reforestation Company (Conare), the National Parks Institute (Inparques), forest firefighters, park rangers, youth brigades and organized communities, join the initiative of the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism.
