San Cristobal.- Tired of living in what they describe as a “pasture,” residents of La Toronja street, in the Madre Vieja Sur sector, in San Cristóbal left over banana trees on the road to attract the attention of the authorities.
In a video that reached the newsroom of the newspaper El Día, you can see the puddles of water and the mud that, in addition to being harmful to health, makes traffic difficult.
The community members say that they have already been presented to the municipal council and they only tell them that they are in charge of the sidewalks and curbs and that the streets are the responsibility of the Ministry of Public Works.
The residents of La Toronja street assured that this sector has been waiting for more than thirty years for the authorities to come to their aid.
