Mier, for his part, said that it is expected that members of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), representatives of the bodies that make up the judicial reform, including magistrates and judges, as well as researchers and specialists in constitutional matter.
Meanwhile, Senator Miguel Ángel Mancera, of the PRD, maintained that although the Fourth Transformation benches are not expected to cease their intention to elect magistrates, judges and ministers at the polls, the opposition must participate in the forums and “take advantage of what we can change.”
“The backbone is not going to change, because they have a majority and they are going to enforce it” but the opposition will make clear to the majority coalition the vision of what is needed for true judicial reform, he explained.
He established that his colleagues in the containment block “are in the sense of giving a debate, of recording (well), the truth is that it is not a bad opportunity” to give the discussion and be heard.

Mancera was questioned about the majority opinion against the Judiciary and stated that although people may be against the administration of justice, that will not change with the election of judges and ministers.
“No one likes that trials take so long, no one likes not knowing how they are, no one likes that, but what is being talked about is something else, that is, what is going to change, it is not exactly that, because the procedural rules are not changing, the integration is changing.
“No one likes that there are delays of up to three years in a trial process, that there are preventive detentions and that people are kept in prison for two years under investigation” but to change that other types of changes are required, he indicated. .
