The investigations into the explosion of the Urbana building, located on Calle 54 Obarrio, continue and this Monday officials from the Public Ministry, the Meritorious Fire Department of Panama and engineers from the Technological University of Panama (UTP) went to the scene and carried out an inspection, Likewise, the roads that remained closed were reopened and enabled for vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
According to Major Ángel Delgado, Director of related calamities of the Panama Fire Department, this opening was carried out after a protective mesh was placed on the building.
He said that the PH Urbana remains closed while the investigations continue and that the nearby buildings are already being inhabited again after the authorities determined that it was safe for the owners to return to their apartments.
