Santo Domingo.- The Emergency Operations Center (COE), placed five provinces on green alert, due to a surface trough located in the Mona Channel and the influence of the east/northeast wind that will be causing downpours during the course of the day.
The provinces on alert include: Duarte, Puerto Plata, Mirabal Sisters, María Trinidad Sánchez and Espaillat.
In this sense, it is recommended that people refrain from crossing rivers, streams and ravines that present high volumes of water in the provinces under alert.

Likewise, the National Meteorological Office (indomet) recommended that operators of fragile, small and medium-sized vessels in the Caribbean coast, from Pedernales to Barahonanavigate with caution near the coastal perimeter without venturing out to sea due to abnormal wind and waves.
While, for this Tuesday, it is expectedn humid climate due to the prespitations caused by wandering.
