Residents of the missionary city of Posadas organized themselves on social networks to collect donations for the residents affected by the fires in the province of Corrientes, while they called for volunteers to fight the flames that entered Misiones in the Cerro Corá area. .

“From Garupá (a mission town) let’s collaborate with Corrientes” is the motto that circulates on networks such as whatsapp or facebookthrough which they request water, ‘Platsul’ cream for burns, clothes, ice, fruits, medicines, handkerchiefs, gauzes and non-perishable food.

They invited people to take donations to the Santa Helena neighborhood or call 3764272219 to organize the distribution.

In addition, they requested fire extinguishers, drinks, moisturizing creams, antibiotic veterinary drugs and eye drops.

On the other hand, they also summoned 70 people who want to volunteer to fight the fires that affect Cerro Corá, a missionary municipality in the department of Candelaria.

The call highlights that “firewalls will begin to be built, for which cars and trucks are needed to get people on and off.”
