In her midday litany, the Vice President of Nicaragua, Rosario Murillo, sent condolences from the Presidency to the families of the fatalities and pointed out that the driver of the intercity bus was speeding “irresponsibly” violating traffic signs.
“Our condolences to the families who suffer the absence of loved ones as a result of that tragic accident that occurred last night on the slope, that slope that is also tragic, in La Cucamonga. The bus driven by a person who, unfortunately, was driving irresponsibly, even ignored traffic signals in a place as delicate, as dangerous as that,” said the regime’s spokeswoman.
“He was going at high speed and crashed into vehicles, against the protection signs that are there to contain any tragedy, such as a vehicle sliding into the abyss. At a very high speed it collided, the bus went, as we know, to the bottom of the abyss », he added.
