PJ dictates 24 months of preventive detention against Mateo Castañeda
Judge Richard Concepción Carhuancho issued 24 months of preventive detention against Mateo Castanedaformer lawyer of Dina Boluarte, in the framework of the Los Waykis en la Sombra case. This measure was issued in the early hours of Saturday, November 23, and it was taken into account that Castañeda was one of the few investigated who appeared personally in the courtroom to hear the resolution. In the same ruling, the magistrate ordered 36 months of preventive detention against Noriel Chingay.
The decision to impose a 24-month preventive detention on Castañeda was justified by his willingness to participate in the hearing, unlike other investigated people who did not appear. In contrast, the 36-month measure against Noriel Chingay was due to his non-existent status, which led the judge to take a more severe measure and order his immediate capture.
