This Monday They opened a third disciplinary process against the police captain Edman Lara, who was praised by the Santa Cruz population after he denounced his superiorColonel Jhonny Ortuño, for making irregular charges to deliver criminal records.

In this case, Lara was summoned to testify this Tuesday at the Comprehensive Police Station (EPI) 5 of the Tusequis, as far as He went with his lawyer Jaime Soliz, a former prosecutor. The uniformed man decided to refrain from speaking before the police authorities.

Leaving EPI 5, the captain thanked the support that received from the people who came to the facilityn police to set up a vigil to show him “that he was not alone”. Regarding his new process, he avoided giving details so as not to hinder the investigations.

“I thank you for coming here voluntarily, because heThe complaint I made is not political, It is for the good of your children and mine, because we all want a better country. I am going to submit to the process and I will not say anything to respect the investigation, ”she commented.

His lawyer, Jaime Soliz, said that this is the third internal process that Lara is opened for denouncing an act of corruption within the Bolivian Police. In addition, he pointed out that they seek to remove him from the olive green institution, because his complaint affects some comrades.

“This is an unfair and armed complaint against Captain Lara, that instead of congratulating him they process him. But it is not going to weaken him and we will act with caution, because there is a police apparatus that wants to remove him from the institution,” he lamented.

Likewise, he considered that his client is an innocent man who wants a better Police and without acts of corruption, for which he said that will disprove the accusations against him.
