They open a complaint against Meduca for failing to comply with the work of the Miguel Alba School in Soná

The Ombudsman opened a complaint this Wednesday against the Ministry of Education, (Meduca), due to the lack of progress in the construction for more than nine years of the Miguel Alba School in the city of Soná, in the province of Veraguas.

The group of parents went to the headquarters of the National Human Rights Institution (INDH) where they were received by the Deputy Ombudsman, Clarissa Martínez, and the director of the Citizen Accompaniment Plan (PAC), Diego Almanza.

Diego Almanza, director of the Ombudsman’s Citizen Accompaniment Plan, explained that parents request the intervention of the entity, so that the classrooms receive their basic implements, as well as the electrical system.

For his part, the president of the Association of parents of the Miguel Alba de Soná School in the province of Veraguas, Abundio Concepción Lamb, requested the opening of a complaint, to follow up, that payments be made to the company and who wish to deliver the educational establishment in January 2024.

The educational establishment has an enrollment that exceeds one thousand students, 93 teachers and 32 administrators.
