With the participation of 66 companies started this Thursday national day “My job is here”which offers 7,012 jobs in sectors such as tourism, industry, commerce and agriculture.
“The 66 companies present have made a firm commitment: give the greatest effort so that the 7,012 vacant positions be occupied by those who have come today, many from very far away, looking for an opportunity to integrate into the formal labor market“said the Minister of Labor, Eddy Olivares during the opening ceremony.
Olivares explained that the National Employment Service (Senae) will follow up on the applicants to ensure that the vacancies are filled by people who attend the sessions.
They will regulate employment days
Likewise, he announced that the Ministry will regulate the employment days to ensure a more organized and efficient process.
“We want each person who comes looking for work to have the opportunity to find a job. If they lack any skills, the company tells us and we send them to the Infotep for one intensive training about 10 days. This is how we complete your preparation and facilitate your job placement“said the minister.

The official also announced that the next day employment will take place in Santiagoand that the program will be extended to the entire country, with emphasis on southern provinceswhere unemployment rates are highest.
“Let’s take opportunities to every corner of the country. Where there is unemployment, we will personally go to help people and, if necessary, move them to where they are jobs. I’m not alone anymore minister of laborI am the job seeker for those who don’t have it,” said Olivares.
The minister reported that other companies have shown interest in joining future sessions, which reflects the commitment of the private sector with the job creation and the economic development national.
“Our country today has a unemployment rate close to 5%, one of the lower of the region,” said Olivares.
“We will continue to reduce that percentage, and at the same time, we will increase the labor formalityuntil reaching the goal of 50% of jobs formalities,” said the minister, referring to the day, which begins today with the impetus of RD-Work.
The work day was headed by the President of the Republic, Luis Abinaderin the Caribbean University.
