Authorities investigate the murder of the mother of Eduar Matiz, mayor of La Vega, Cundinamarca.
The event that occurred in the early hours of this Sunday would have occurred in the midst of a case of hit men, which is investigated by members of the National Police and the Attorney General’s Office.

The governor of Cundinamarca, Nicolás García who rejected the fact and asked for speed in investigations.
Through his Twitter account, the president wrote: “Unanimous and forceful rejection of the entire department. to the assassination attack that occurred in La Vega, in which the life of the mother of the mayor of that municipality was taken away,” said the president and made a call to the Cundinamarca Police, the National Police and the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation to “immediately identify and capture those responsible.”
By the same means, the departmental president assured that “together with the Secretary of Government and authorities we advanced Security Council in the Province of Gualivá, padlock operation and investigations are essential to find those responsible. The department will not be taken over by criminals.”
At the end of the safety advice carried out by the local authorities, the Secretary of Government of Cundinamarca, Juan Carlos Barraganrejected the crime and assured that several measures were announced in the area of the attack.

Likewise, the Secretary of Government of the department indicated that some patrols will be carried out in the area, to try to find those responsible for the crime and assured that the Government is offering a reward of up to 50 million pesos for whoever provides information related to this case.
