Santo Domingo.- Another 190 packages of cocaine, which would be taken to Puerto Rico, were seized this Friday in the port of Haina Oriental.

The drug was hidden in dozens of plasterboards and weighed 195.89 kilograms, according to the analysis of the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF).

This was seized by the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) and members of the Public Ministry (MP), with the support of state intelligence agencies.

“Also inside the plates, contaminated with the substance, two white Apple brand GPS were found hidden,” says a press release.

While the investigations are carried out to find out who is behind this shipment, the MP and the DNCD keep several people under investigation.

Likewise, the authorities continue to carry out operations against drug trafficking in air terminals, ports, borders and throughout the national territory.
