On the morning of this Sunday, March 13, before the polls opened for Colombians to elect the new Congress of the Republic, an act of violence was recorded in the south of Cali.
It was in the area of Bochalema of Cali, where the authorities recorded the death of a woman identified as Johana Tarazona, after being attacked with a firearm, apparently in the middle of a robbery carried out by two subjects who were traveling on a motorcycle through this sector of the city.

According to the authorities, the woman was on her way to her polling station to exercise her right to vote and they added that one of the assailants was killed in the middle of the persecution once the incident was alerted.
“The uniformed officers, who at that time were carrying out dissuasion and control activities, heard detonations, so they went to verify the situation in which they were able to observe an injured woman and two people fleeing on a motorcycle,” said Brigadier General Juan Carlos León, commander of the Cali Metropolitan Police.
