They murder a Cuban in Santa Clara “to steal a cart and a horse”

MIAMI, United States. — A Cuban was assassinated in recent days in Santa Clara, Villa Clara province, by criminals who wanted to steal a cart and a horse from his property.

The complaint was made on social networks by Laurien López, the victim’s niece, who offered details about what happened.

“On May 22, that is, yesterday, my uncle was found stabbed and slit his throat in Santa Clara. Gentlemen, they apparently took his life just to steal a cart and a horse,” the woman said.

López assured that his uncle, who was called Tony, was “someone poor who had no luxuries.” In the same way, he demanded that the authorities find those responsible for his death.

“I want the person or persons responsible for such a cruel event to pay and to the authorities to do their job and start looking for everyone who is ending up there, either in Santa Clara or in other parts of the country,” the niece wrote. of the victim on his Facebook account.

The complainant added that the official discourse is a lie and that the only thing Cuba is advancing is “in delinquency and crimes.”

“Today it was my family’s turn to lose a loved one, but tomorrow it can be yours. Take care everyone. The Cuba that was calm one day is very dangerous,” López concluded.

The Caribbean country is suffering from an unprecedented wave of violence, with daily reports of robberies, armed robberies and murders. One of the most recent cases was that of a family from Matanzas killed with machetes at the El Resplandor farm, located on the outskirts of the city of Matanzas.

According to the Ministry of the Interior (MININT), “the person responsible for the crime was arrested on Jibacoa beach, in the province of Mayabeque, when he was trying to leave the country. Among the objects that were seized, evidence was found that linked him to the crime.”
