The technical team of the Ministry of Health and a commission of the National Government provide clinical and periodic follow-up to attend to the 30-year-old Alcibíades Santos, one of those affected by an accident that occurred on July 16, when several drivers passed at the intersection between Horconcitos and Boca del Monte, district of San Lorenzo, in Chiriquí after the blockade that it maintained for several weeks on the Pan-American highway, as a protest measure.

The regional director of Health in Chiriquí, Gladys Novoa, indicated that technical personnel from the Barrio Bolívar Health Center provide care to Santos, including the physiotherapy service, and other needs that are part of the recovery process are also being evaluated.

“We have instructed that the physiotherapy service be more frequent for the affected person, ensuring that they return to their socioeconomic activities as soon as possible,” said Novoa.

The health regent was accompanied by the regional director of the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development, Hermenegildo Becker, who said he had received instructions from the National Government regarding comprehensive assistance for the young convalescent.
