The Municipality of Huancayo presented its route diversion plan for the days that the Wanka Christmas Fair is installed. Fixed-route public service carriers, as well as taxis, must change their usual route.
The Municipal Traffic Management reported that it has already prepared its detour plan to avoid vehicle saturation and establish fluid traffic in the center of the city.

This modification is due to the programming of the Wanka 2022 Christmas Fair plan that will be held on Calle Real, closing from Jirón Loreto to Jirón Arica, which is why there are alternate routes for public and private transport.

Transit manager María Canchari indicated that it will be put into action from December 23 to 25 of that same month and then from December 30 to January 1, 2023.
In detail, the plan indicates the closure of the road on Calle Real from Giráldez to Arica. The alternate road sections from south to north are the entire Áncash jirón up to Giráldez, as well as the Arequipa jirón.
In the case of an alternate route to travel from north to south, it was arranged through the Moquegua jirón, all in double lane.

In the case of transversal routes such as the Lima, Loreto, Cajamarca, Huánuco, Tarapacá, Angaraes and Arica shreds, they will be able to circulate in their direction as normal, otherwise the Ica and Piura shreds will be blocked for transportation.
For the control, there will be 100% of transport inspectors in the field to support the diversion of vehicles through alternate routes, likewise, to avoid parking in saturated and rigid areas of the center of Huancayo.
