The Buenos Aires government This Thursday marked a square in Ramos Mejía to make visible the place where in October 2015 a young pregnant woman was murdered by her boyfriend, reported the Undersecretary for Policies against Gender Violence of the Ministry of Women, Gender Policies and Sexual Diversity of the province of Buenos Aires.
Starting this Thursday, in the “El Bomberito” square, in Ramos Mejía, La Matanza district, the face of Julieta Menamade on an openwork iron plate, smiles at passersby and seeks to raise awareness about the fight to eradicate gender violence and that the young woman remains in the memory of her neighbors.
