Civil society organizations and marijuana users called this Saturday for “the legalization of all uses of cannabis” and the “cessation of raids and arrests of users and growers” during the World Marijuana March in the city of Rosario

“One of the biggest demands this year is that they stop persecuting and criminalizing consumers and growers who are subjected to horrible processes by justice,” Emanuel Ramírez, the representative of the Rosarina Association for Cultural Studies (Arec), told Télam. .

“It is necessary to advance in the training of the officials of the Judiciary and the Security Forces so that this does not continue to happen,” he remarked.

After stating that “a Comprehensive Cannabis Law is necessary”, Ramírez considered that “it should contemplate all subjectivities and adapt to current demands, both economic and social.”

They also called for the “repeal of Law 23,737″, considered the main cause of the deprivation of liberty of cis and trans women,” the organizers indicated.

The call was organized by the Rosarina Association of Cultural Studies (Arec), the Association of users and professionals for dealing with cannabis and other drugs (Aupac), Madres que se plantan, Red Radaud Argentina, the Harm Reduction Association of the Argentina (Arda), Wikinnabis and Women and Cannabis in Argentina.
