Hundreds of deltanos marched against the blockade and sanctions on Friday afternoon in Casacoima of Delta Amacuro state. The assistants shouted “no to the empire”.
The activity was carried out in the town of Sierra Imataca, Casacoima municipality of Delta Amacuro state. People took to the streets to demand from the countries that have blocked Venezuela, the end of corrective and unilateral actions.
The governor of Delta Amacuro state, Lizeta Hernández, accompanied this mobilization, which continues, because it began in Tucupita and is expected to cover the entire entity.
“I want to tell you that Venezuela has firmly faced, with the strength of our liberators, the claims of the empire, to subdue the Latin American peoples, nothing and no one will stop the Bolivarian Revolution, because it is irreversible, here we are, President Nicolás Maduro, to defend the Homeland. No More Sanctions!” Governor Lizeta Hernández published.
Luis Brito, one of those attending the march, said that, together with his family, he joined the demand for the end of the sanctions and the blockade against Venezuela, reiterating that these actions have further harmed the economy of those who have less.
He admitted that in principle he believed in one of the opposition sectors, however, over the years, since the sanctions and the blockade began to have an effect on his family, he decided to start his fight to demand an end to them.
“These sanctions are hurting us a lot. Venezuela cannot recover quickly like this, something must be done, said Luis Brito.
The mayor of the Casacoima municipality, Edgar Guzmán, also attended the march against the blockade and the sanctions, in one of several mobilizations that they plan to carry out in the second most populous area of the Delta Amacuro state.
The penalties are real
The state oil company, PDVSA, has stopped receiving important resources that were, and continue to be, earmarked for social investment, explained the governor of Delta Amacuro.
He added that producers are also affected by not being able to easily acquire any input or machinery, given that several countries are threatened when they seek to help Venezuela.
“But nobody here gives up, we continue to fight, demanding an end to criminal attacks,” questioned the governor of Delta Amacuro, Lizeta Hernández.
