They march against the rise in fuel prices

Drivers from different unions march this morning in the downtown of Asunción, in protest against the increase in the price of fuel

At least seven unions of platform drivers, taxis, delivery drivers, distributors, among others, will be mobilized from the Asunción waterfront.

Federico Ferreira, from the National Motorcycle Workers Union, reported that they will arrive at the Congress headquarters, in order to demonstrate against the latest readjustments in the price of fuel.

“If it goes up again, we will no longer be able to work,” Ferreira warned in communication with 1080 AM.

SINACTRAM (National Union of Motorcycle Workers), ACP (Association of Drivers of Paraguay), ATEPY (Association of School Transport of Paraguay), CMB (Mercedes Benz Club), Association of Grueros of Paraguay, Association of Central United Volqueteros and Taxi Drivers Independents are some of the unions that adhere to the march.

With four increases in 2021 and two so far in 2022, fuel rose

G. 2,900 in a year and could reach 3,600 with the eventual readjustment announced by private emblems for this weekend.
