Given the generation of abundant rains, storms and windy conditions over the national territory, the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) issued a prevention, monitoring and surveillance notice until November 6, 2022.
The authorities stressed that this vigilance is maintained in all provinces and regions due to the high probability of floods and landslides.
According to the Directorate of Hydrometeorology of the Electricity Transmission Company, SA (ETESA), there is a greater activation of the low pressure systems together with the oscillation of the intertropical convergence zone, favorable for the development of significant rains.
Sinaproc warned citizens to take extreme prevention measures and reiterated that November is one of the most critical months of the hurricane season in our region, for which it also issued some recommendations such as avoiding visiting rivers and beaches.
