The boy was camping with his family and friends in the Paso Arriera area and when he disappeared he was playing in the water with other people.
The incident occurred around 2:00 p.m. in the Paso Arriera area. There, the boy was playing with other minors when he lost sight in the water. At that moment the parents immediately entered the water in search of him, but could not locate him.
After the arrival of police officers, firefighters joined the search and a boat was added. Collaboration was also requested from the Cerro Largo police, given that the scene of the incident is located on the departmental border.
