The body of a woman was located on Sunday afternoon in the Las Marías sector, between the El Valle and El Cementerio parishes, according to police sources.
Neighbors observed the body lying in a mounted area and reported to the authorities. Agents of the Bolivarian National Police went to the place and observed that the corpse was stripped of clothes, face down and with signs of having been burned in the cephalic region, according to preliminary reports.
When the Cicpc officials arrived, they proceeded to lift the body and enter it into the Bello Monte morgue for full identification.
Apparently, the girl was sexually abused and then killed by mechanical asphyxiation. Testimonies collected by the uniformed officers reflect that the young woman was not known in the sector.
A commission from the El Valle Police Coordination Center patrols the neighborhoods of El 70, Los Cardones and other sectors to locate the murderer(s).
